PROFILE OF THE WEEK (October 29, 2008)

NOTES: Two-time Honorable Mention All-NJAC… the anchor of the Scarlet Raider defense who has started every match during her first two seasons… a leader who uses great anticipation, quickness and strength to offset size disadvantages. 

JUNIOR (2010): Team tri-captain who started in a dozen of the 13 matches in which she appeared for the 6-10-3 Raiders who finished 2-5-2 in NJAC play… scored three points with a goal and an assist from her defensive position… opened the season with a goal in an 8-0 win over Mount St. Vincent (9/1)… registered an assist in a 4-2 win over Medaille (9/4)… Raiders allowed two goals or less in nine of the 13 matches in which she played.

SOPHOMORE (2009): Honorable Mention All-NJAC after keying R-N defense… put five of her seven shots on goal… notched an assist in an 8-2 win over CCNY (9/17/09).

FRESHMAN (2008): Honorable Mention All-NJAC after a superlative rookie season as a defender on the Raiders’ 9-8-2 squad which earned the first post-season berth in the nine-year history of the program... started all 20 matches... a true one-on-one stopper in the Raider defense who marked some of the top offensive players in the region... completely throttled NCAA D-III scoring and goals champion Jennifer Albuja by limiting her to just one shot in a 2-0 win over New Jersey City (9/27/08)... notched her only goal in an 11-0 win over St. Elizabeth (10/22/08)... recorded her only assists in a 10-0 victory over Medgar Evers (9/5/08)... 

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner named all-county honorable mention during junior and senior years… helped Vikings to Mountainside Conference championship and county quarterfinals appearance during senior season.

PERSONAL: Graduated high school with second honors… brother, Richard, played soccer for Boston College (’03-’07)… nickname is Jess.
