Veronica Harris is in her second season as a member of the Rutgers University-Newark cross country and track & field coaching staff in 2018-19.
A member of the United States Track & Field Coaches Association, Veronica Harris was a standout student-athlete at Seton Hall University. She won two national titles in the 4x400-meter relay and was a two-time All-American, also helping her Seton Hall track & field squads to three different Big East titles. Harris was a four-time Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Champion, a four-team Big East Champion and a four All-Big East honoree.

The Plainfield, N.J. resident speaks three languages and has worked in Edison, N.J. as a Health and Physical Teacher since 2000, also coaching Varsity Track & Field. She guided her squads to White Division titles in 2011 & 2012, earning Coach of the Year honors in 2012. Additionally, Harris was inducted into the Bishop McNamara High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Seton Hall, earned her Master's in Higher Education from Capella University in 2017 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education from Capella.
