NCAA Box Score & Play-by-Play

Abreu notched five goals and added a pair of assists, having a hand in all but the Raiders' final tally of the night, to tie marks set last season by Julia Caseres.

Senior midfielder Whitney Huber tallied two goals and added an assist in the victory while sophomore forward Stefani Uthman netted the opening R-N goal to knot the contest at 1-1.

The Raiders (4-3-0) rolled to their third straight win while CCNY slipped to 0-3-1 on the season. R-N forged a 34-6 edge in shots and a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Senior Carina Subia hammered in a shot from the left side just inside the right post off of a corner kick to give the Beavers a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute, before Uthman connected from the top of the arc on a cross from Abreu in the 25th minute to even the score. Abreu feed Huber for the go-ahead goal in the 33rd minute before staking the Raiders to a 3-1 halftime edge. Abreu headed in a shot that bounced over the CCNY keeper's head to produce what proved to be the game winner.

Abreu scored the next four goals, including a three during a 3-minute, 15-second span in the early second period. Sophomore forward Jessica Gavilanes, sophomore midfielder Amanda Moursy and Huber provide the assists. Abreu capped her outburst with an unassisted goal in the 77th minute, settling a loose ball 10 yards out on the right side and firing a shot into the right side of the net to make it 7-1.

Junior midfielder Kristina Phu put a shot over back-up goalkeeper Danielle Griscom's head into the right corner in the 89th minute before Huber bounced a shot through the hands of CCNY goalkeeper Angela Lopez with just 20 seconds remaining. Lopez stopped 10 shots for the Beavers.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kat Renteria made three saves and surrendered a goal in 66 minutes before Griscom came on to make one stop while closing out the victory.

The Raiders step into New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Saturday, travelling to Ramapo for a 1 p.m. contest.
