NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark freshman outside hitter
Ula Nieznalska led Rutgers-Newark with 10 kills, 10 digs and an ace, but Richard Stockton downed Rutgers-Newark, 3-1, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match in The Golden Dome.

The league-leading Ospreys (15-3, NJAC 4-0) hit a torrid .350 (59 kills, 17 errors, 120 attacks) as a squad while the Scarlet Raiders (4-10, NJAC 0-4) hit .053 (30-23-132).

Rachel Witt added seven kills apiece while freshman setter
Jen Mendoza recorded 27 assists, five digs and two kills. Witt added a solo block and two assisted blocks to tally nine points while Moppert came up with eight digs.
Freshman outside hitter Nicole Serekian and sophomore middle hitter Stephanie Warner notched a dozen kills apiece for the Ospreys. Setters Laura Hausman and Kate Berninger combined for 52 assists to fuel the Stockton attack. Hausman added a pair of aces and five digs to go along with her 28 assists.
Junior outside hitter Christine Velott recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs while chipping in two aces. Freshmen Alex Galdi and Tabitha Nejman combined for 13 kills on 23 swings without an error.
After falling 25-8 in the opening frame, the Raider got four kills apiece from Nieznalska and Witt while rallying from a 21-19 hole to level the match at 1-1. Witt had back-to-back kills to make the score 23-22, Raiders. After a Hausman kill evened the score, a Moppert kill and a Nieznalska ace ended the game.
But Stockton hit .333 in game three and .450 in game four to end the evening.
Rutgers-Newark hosts New Jersey City in another NJAC match in The Golden Dome on Thursday at 7 p.m.
