MAHWAH, NJ – Rutgers-Newark put eight shots on goal but came away with just one marker in a 7-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference loss to Ramapo College.

Liana Abreu notched her 11th goal of the season on a feed from junior forward
Margeaux Hedley in the 35th minute to trim the Scarlet Raiders' deficit to 2-1, but the Roadrunners (2-4-2, NJAC 1-2-0) piled up a 29-13 advantage in shots while controlling corner kicks, 11-2.
Senior goalkeeper
Danielle Griscom equaled her career high with a dozen saves while Ramapo sophomore Talia Auslin made seven stops.
Junior midfielder Susan Hayes tallied eight points with three goals, including the first two of the contest, and two assists to fuel the Ramapo assault. Five other Roadrunners netted goals.
Abreu now has netted all but one of Rutgers-Newark's 12 goals as the Scarlet Raiders (2-7-0, NJAC 0-2-0) have dropped five in a row. She got plenty of attack help today with freshman
