Senior guard
ShaQuanna Marshall netted six of her 15 points at the foul line during the decisive 17-0 run which turned a tenuous 4-point advantage into a 71-50 bulge with 45 seconds remaining as the Scarlet Raiders (7-4, NJAC 3-2) bounced back from an upset loss at Richard Stockton on Saturday.
Junior center
Sharee Gordon, who played for the first time since suffering a knee injury at New Jersey City on November 26, hit eight of 12 shots from the floor to finish with a season-high 17 points while hauling down eight rebounds.
Junior forward
Jade Howard, who played just 25 minutes after drawing three first-half personal fouls, notched her sixth double-double of the season with 15 points, 11 rebounds and four steals.
Marshall, Gordon and Howard accounted for all but three points in the Raiders' closing run which kept the Scarlet Raptors (2-6, NJAC 0-5) winless in conference play.
Senior forward
Jasmine Daniels chipped in nine points and four rebounds for Rutgers-Newark which got eight points and four rebounds from freshman guard
Shala Glenn.
Sophomore guard Krystle Cook sank a 3-point jumper with 7:05 left to slice the Raiders' lead to 54-50.  But that was the Raptors' final field goal.  Cooke finished with seven points.
Junior guard Alex Gravinese, who tallied a game-high 18 points, connected on four of five shots from beyond the arc in the opening period when Rutgers-Camden surged back from a 10-0 Raider start to knot the score twice in the half.  Junior guard Monica Burch netted eight of her 10 points in the first 20 minutes as the Raptors trailed just 33-30 going into the break.  Burch finished with five assists.
Sophomore forward Michelle Onu pulled down 11 rebounds for the Raptors while senior center Tina Croxton came off the bench for seven points.
Rutgers-Newark never gave up the lead in the second half, but Rutgers-Camden trimmed its deficit to three points four times before the Raiders pulled away in the final seven minutes.
