Matt Broomall notched his school-record 16th shutout as Rutgers University-Newark extended its winning streak to 10 with a 3-0 win over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on the Ramapo Soccer Field.

Dylan Elias scored goals for the Scarlet Raiders (10-2-0, NJAC 3-0-0) as Broomall (9-2-0) needed just three saves to post the shutout and break out of a tie with Matt Zielyk (2007-10) for the program career record. It was Broomall's third shutout of the season.
Nowak scored the first goal of his career 11:20 into the contest on a cross into the six-yard box from sophomore midfielder
Hubert Dul before the Roadrunners dug in behind junior goalkeeper Brady O'Connor to keep things close. O'Connor made all four of his saves in the first half. He made saves on back-to-back shots by sophomore forward
Anthony DeRisi in the 18th minute after cutting off a shot on goal by O'Connell just three minutes into the match. With just 1:19 left in the period, O'Connor saved a shot by senior midfielder
Diego Moraes.

Raphael Araujo was headed into right side of the net when Ramapo sophomore defender Bayley Young kicked the try away in the 14th minute.
Rutgers-Newark dominated play in the opening period, outshooting Ramapo 11-2 while Broomall stopped both Roadrunner shots. The Raiders continued to pressure Ramapo (6-4-2, NJAC 0-2-1) in the second period, piling up a 22-7 shot advantage for the match.
O'Connell scored in the 55th minute went freshman forward
Chigozie Atubi laid a pass back into the 18 which the sophomore one-timed into the net to give the Raiders some breathing room before Elias capped the offense by putting away a pass from freshman forward

During their winning streak, the Raiders have outscored their opponents 30-5 with five shutouts while allowing just one goal in each of the other five matches. It was the seventh consecutive match in which Rutgers-Newark limited its opponent to less than 10 shots. After losing to Covenant College and Emory University in Atlanta in August, Rutgers-Newark has gone unbeaten.
