Sue Riley roped a team season-high eight aces while adding 20 digs as Rutgers University-Newark rolled past SUNY Maritime, 3-0, in Riesenberg Hall Gym in Throggs Neck. Games scores were 25-21, 25-9, 25-9.

Sharee Gordon got in on five of Rutgers-Newark's six blocks while adding two kills.
Freshman outside hitter Shannon Brady registered a match-high 10 kills to pace the Privateers (8-11).
Maritime led on the first point of the match before the Raiders broke away from a 3-3 tie to dominate the rest of the match.
Rutgers-Newark is at the SUNY Cobleskill Tournament on Friday and Saturday before closing out the regular season with a crucial New Jersey Athletic Conference match at William Paterson on Tuesday. The Raiders face SUNYIT on Friday at 5 p.m. before squaring off against host Cobleskill at 7 o'clock. On Saturday, the Raiders play the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, an NJAC Championship Tournament berth is on the line when the Rutgers-Newark takes on William Paterson in the WPU Rec Center at 7 p.m. The winner advances to the league's 6-team post-season playoff.
