NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark forwards Jasmine Daniels and Jade Howard made certain that Rowan did not spoil Senior Night as they both registered double-doubles in a 66-50 New Jersey Athletic Conference win in The Golden Dome Arena.

Senior Daniels posted her second double-double of the season in her final game in The Dome, finishing with a dozen points, a game-high 14 rebounds and three steals after she and fellow senior ShaQuanna Marshall were honored in pre-game ceremonies.  Marshall underwent career-ending knee surgery last month.

Howard had a dozen of her game-high 22 points and 11 of her 13 rebounds in the first half to power the Scarlet Raiders (10-13, NJAC 6-11) to a 32-22 lead.  She also finished with a game-high six steals, two assists and a blocked shot as Rutgers-Newark earned a regular-season series split with the Profs (6-18, NJAC 5-12).

Freshman point guard Jamie Cejour-Mobley totaled 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals as the Raiders snapped a 4-game losing streak.  Junior center Sharee Gordon chipped in eight points and eight rebounds while rookie pivot player Jasmine Lombard came off the bench for six points and seven rebounds to help Rutgers-Newark dominate the boards, 50-29.  Sophomore guard Arianna Williams dished off a team-high four assists for the Raiders.

Junior guard Bria Hill paced Rowan with a dozen points and eight rebounds while sophomore center Kate Matthews netted nine of her 11 points in the opening period.  Sophomore guard Kaitlin Schullstrom scored all eight of her points in the second half and also contributed a team-high four assists.

Rutgers-Newark pushed its lead to 56-33 on a steal and fastbreak layup by Cejour-Mobley with 9:44 remaining.  The Profs got no closer than 15 points down the stretch.

Rutgers-Newark visits NCAA Division I neighbor NJIT Monday night at 7 before capping its season with an NJAC road doubleheader at Kean on Wednesday.  The women's game tips off at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8.
