Gabby Spinella hammered a home run in her final at bat on Alumni Field, but The College of New Jersey took a 6-0 and 7-2 New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep on Senior Day.
IN GAME TWO, Spinella sent a towering shot over the centerfield fence in the sixth inning to cap the scoring but eight of the visiting Lions' (10-22, NJAC 4-12) 10 hits were for extra bases against freshman

Krista Casale went three for three, scored the Scarlet Raiders' first run and doubled in the fifth. Casale, junior designated player

Tiara Santi had consecutive 1-out singles in the third inning to produce the first Raider run in the third.
Senior centerfielder Lindsey Williams drilled a 3-run live drive home run over the left center field fence to cap a 5-run third inning for TCNJ. Lion freshman third baseman Jessica Kennick delivered a solo home run to center to make it 7-1. Williams and Kennick each had a double and a home run while freshman second baseman Colleen Phelan had a single, a double and a triple to pace the TCNJ attack.
Sophomore lefthander Ashtin Helmer (5-10) scattered seven hits while striking out eight and walking one to pick up the victory.
IN THE OPENER, Lion senior righthander Alex Carisone (3-7) posted a shutout, yielding six singles and three walks without notching a strikeout.
Donde singled in the first and third innings and walked in the seventh to reach base safely three out of four times.
Sophomore second baseman
Vannessa Romero was the only Raider to reach third base against Carisone. Romero singled to lead off the fifth and got into scoring position on back-to-back sacrifice bunts by Casale and senior leftfielder
Tina Zaggia.
Sophomore first baseman Deanna Utter paced TCNJ's 13-hit assault with a single, a double and 3-run inside-the-park home run in the sixth which made it 5-0. Phelan went two for four with an RBI single in the 2-run fifth inning.
Between games, Raider seniors Spinella, Santi, Zaggia,
Liane Drastal and
Brianna Alicchio were honored.
Rutgers-Newark (12-24, NJAC 1-15) caps its season with an NJAC doubleheader against Rutgers-Camden in the RUC Community Park on Saturday at 1 p.m.
