Rutgers-Newark brings in a record of 12-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference to Wednesday's match. A win would clinch a berth in the conference tournament as the Scarlet Raiders are currently tied for sixth place in the conference standings (10 points) with Ramapo College. R-N holds the tiebreaker with Ramapo. Ramapo plays host to Kean University (14 points, 4-2-2 NJAC) on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., so the Scarlet Raiders will know exactly what they need to do come Wednesday night. Rutgers University-Camden (seven points, 2-5-1 NJAC) – who is also in the playoff picture – visits Stockton (11 points, 2-1-5 NJAC).
The top-six teams make the NJAC Tournament. The College of New Jersey, Montclair, Rowan University and Kean are all assured berths, with Stockton, the Scarlet Raiders and Camden in the Hunt.
