NEWARK, N.J. (January 21, 2016) – On Saturday evening when the Rutgers University-Newark men's and women's basketball squads host Stockton University for a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) doubleheader in The Golden Dome Arena everyone will be wearing white.
 
The Department of Athletics announced a #WHITEOUT for the key NJAC games and will be giving away free limited edition white t-shirts and rally towels to all in attendance (while supplies last).
 
The event will serve as a 'Welcome Back' to all students who returned this week for the beginning of the Spring semester and should also serve as a boost for both the Scarlet Raider basketball teams.
 
The women's squad will be eyeing a second-straight NJAC victory after routing New Jersey City University Wednesday, and the men's team will be looking to improve to 8-3 in the conference and 13-5 overall.
 
Stockton earned victories over the R-N men and women in Pomona back on December 12 so revenge – along with jockeying for position in the conference standings – will be on the minds of both Rutgers-Newark teams come Saturday.
 
Saturday's women's game is set to tip-off at 6 p.m. with the men following at 8 p.m.
