NEWARK, N.J. (November 21, 2017) – The Rutgers University-Newark men's and women's basketball teams open New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play tonight in The Golden Dome, hosting rival New Jersey City University in a doubleheader.
The Scarlet Raider women get things started with a 6 p.m. start against the Gothic Knights, and R-N will be looking for a third-straight win. Rutgers-Newark topped Cedar Crest College and St. Joseph's College – Long Island this past weekend in the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic, getting All-Tournament performances from sophomore

The Scarlet Raider men will follow at 8 p.m. after two tight games in Oregon Friday and Saturday night. Newark opened its 2017-18 season with a thrilling comeback win at George Fox University Friday night, but R-N fell in a tight matchup at Lewis & Clark College Saturday.
