NEWARK, N.J. | A game that saw 11 total home runs also saw the Scarlet Raiders pick up a 12-11 win over William Paterson this afternoon at Weequahic Park.
Both teams brought their bats as today's game turned into a home run derby with a combined 11 home runs. That total marks the third highest total all-time in a single game in Division III.
With the win, the Scarlet Raiders (10-15, 4-8 NJAC) found their way back into the win column after dropping three straight NJAC games. William Paterson (20-11, 6-6 NJAC) had their two-game win streak come to a close while simultaneously having their three-game win streak over Rutgers University-Newark snapped.

Anthony Rosoline (4-2) hurled 114 pitches in the win while striking out five and allowing 13 hits. Just six of the 11 runs were earned this afternoon in 8.2 innings of action.
Marcus James came into the game to secure the final out for the Scarlet Raiders, tossing just three pitches to do so.
John Klimowich brought his power to the plate and secured four RBI while going 2-for-4 from the plate with three runs.
Connor Clare also had a solid afternoon going 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run.
Steven Yelin of William Paterson tied the single-game Division III home run record this afternoon with four home runs. Yelin finished the game 4-for-5 with six RBI and four runs.
William Paterson quickly took a 2-0 lead to start the game when Yelin collected his first of four home runs in the game.
John Klimowich gave the Scarlet Raiders the lead for good in the bottom of the third inning with a grand slam over the left field wall.
Lisandro Ulerio was first on the bases to start that inning with a single up the middle before
Ryan Zucker was hit by the first pitch to put to men on the bases.
Dominic Magliaro would suffer the same fate as Zucker to load the bases for Klimowich to bring everyone home.
The Scarlet Raiders kept their bats hot as they scored four more runs over the next two innings.
Kevin Tamsula's solo home run in the bottom of the fourth gives him three on the year which ties him with both
Chris Suleski and Klimowich.
Connor Clare kept the scoring going in the fifth with an RBI triple to left field which scored Klimowich to push their lead out four before coming home via a balk.
William Paterson kept chipping away at the lead with two runs over the course of the fifth and sixth innings. In their last stand in the top of the ninth they nearly completed the comeback by scoring five runs, however, they would come up one run short as James got Shane Adams to fly out to center field.
The Scarlet Raiders are right back in action tomorrow afternoon against another NJAC opponent, Stockton University at 2:00 pm at Weequahic Park.
