#RUNWBB Tabbed To Finish 8th In NJAC Preseason Poll

PITMAN, NJ | The Rutgers University-Newark women's basketball team has been voted to finish 8th in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Preseason Poll. 

The Scarlet Raiders, led by head coach Ashley Cieplicki, will look to build off of the progress they made last season with an influx of new talent. 

Rutgers-Newark welcome's back several of their starters from a season ago and will once again be led by Samiyah Horton. Horton led the team last year with 16.1 points while adding 5.3 rebounds per game and earned MBWA Division II/III Honorable Mention of the Week in the opening week of the season. Ebony Odom Barnes will look to take the next step to help her team dominate the boards.

Rutgers-Newark opens its 2021-22 campaign on the road against Brooklyn College on Tuesday, November 9.
