#RUNWVB Drops Final Road Contest Of The Season

BROOKLYN, NY | The Rutgers University-Newark women's volleyball team fell to Pratt, 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-20) this evening in their final road contest of the 2021 campaign. The loss drops the Scarlet Raiders to 5-16, while Pratt improves to 16-6.

Rebekah Barnes and Tracey Ilderis led the team with four kills each while Sharon Starling paved the way with a team-high 12 assists. Saniyiah Richardson finished the match with 10 digs and Meredith Moore picked up a block.

Despite tallying their highest kill total of the match in the opening stanza with six, the Scarlet Raiders struggled to find their offense as they hit -.107. With a 13-8 lead, Pratt used an 11-0 run to burst the set open. The Scarlet Raiders were unable to recover.

In the final two sets, the Scarlet Raiders kept it close, however they were unable to get over the hump to send the match past three sets.
