Horton Named To All-Met Team

NEW YORK, NY | Samiyah Horton was named to the All-Met Division III team for the first time in her career announced Monday by the Met Basketball Writers Association.

The MBWA selected a single seven-player All-Met team for this past season due to reduced schedules and the reduced number of competing schools during the coronavirus pandemic.

Horton is one of five New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) players announced to this year's All-Met team. She was also named 2020-21 NJAC Honorable Mention as well as MBWA Division II/III Honorable Mention of the Week.

Horton started and scored double-digits in all seven games this season, shooting 39.6% (40-101) from the floor while also shooting 39% (16-41) from behind the arc. She led the Scarlet Raiders with 16.1 points and second on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game. Horton dished out 1.4 assists per game in a team-high 33.4 minutes per game.
