PITMAN, NJ | The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its 2023 NJAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll. Rutgers-Newark was selected 3rd in the poll.
The Scarlet Raiders are coming off of an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship season where they defeated NJAC foes, New Jersey City University, 4-1, in the semifinal. Last season, the Scarlet Raiders finished with a record of 11-6-6, 4-2-3 with a 4-3-2 record at home.
Montclair State University was tabbed 1st with seven first place votes while Rowan followed up with three.
The Rutgers-Newark men's soccer team begins its season on Friday, September 1 when they take on Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA.
