Men's Soccer Offense Stalls in 4-0 Defeat to Rowan

GLASSBORO, NJ | The Rutgers University-Newark suffered its first New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) loss of the season via a 4-0 score to Rowan University.

Rutgers-Newark (3-5-3, 1-1-1) was held to just three shots in the game with one forcing a save. Rowan (4-1-4, 2-0) used 9 and six corners to take down the Scarlet Raiders. 

The Profs got on the board early, beating Pedro Flores four minutes into the contest. Rowan doubled its lead 10 minutes later before finding one more before the halftime whistle. Two of the three Scarlet Raiders' shots came in the first half from Jonah Dias and Ali Celik. 

Rutgers-Newark's offense continued to stall in the second half as they were held to one shot while Rowan added another goal to its tally. 

The Scarlet Raiders return to action on Wednesday, October 4 when they travel to Hoboken, NJ to take on Stevens.
