Newark, N.J. – Rutgers-Newark cross country competed at the NJIT XC Invitational on Saturday, with both the men's and women's teams running against a deep field of competitors.
On the women's side, Angelyna Rodriguez continued her strong season by finishing 19th overall with a time of 21:35.00, pacing the Scarlet Raiders in the 5K race. Despite solid individual performances, the women did not have enough runners to record a team score.
For the men, Carlos Gonzales Delgado led the way with a 49th-place finish, crossing the line in 31:00.00. His effort helped guide Rutgers-Newark to a ninth-place team finish in the 8K event, rounding out another solid outing for the Scarlet Raiders program.
