Madison, N.J. – Rutgers–Newark women's basketball fell 91–45 to Drew University on Wednesday night at Baldwin Gym. The Rangers jumped out to an early lead, outscoring the Scarlet Raiders 24–11 in the opening quarter and extending their advantage to 48–22 by halftime.
Quanajah Felder led Rutgers–Newark with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Raihanna Abdus-Salaam added seven points and five boards. The Scarlet Raiders shot 33.9 percent from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc, struggling to find rhythm against Drew's fast-paced offense.
Rutgers–Newark will look to regroup as they travel to Camden to battle in the Scarlet Raptor Classic this weekend for battles with FDU-Florham and Baruch.
