PROFILE OF THE WEEK (February 2011)
SENIOR (2010-11): Major catalyst in Rutgers-Newark’s 19-10 record and run to the program’s first ever NJAC Championship Tournament title game…
second team All-NJAC… led R-N in scoring (14.3 ppg) while ranking second in rebounding (5.9 rpg) and 3-point field goals (45)… led Raiders in scoring 12 times, reaching the 20-point plateau five times… notched three double-doubles… led team in blocked shots with 20… poured in a team individual season high 31 points to go along with 13 rebounds and three steals in a 67-45 win over Briarcliffe (12/12/10)… poured in a game-high 24 points to go along with four rebounds and four steals in Raiders’ 54-51 upset of Kean (2/23/11) in the opening round of the NJAC Championship Tournament… had 18 points and six rebounds before fouling out of NJAC title game loss at William Paterson (2/26/11)… totaled 21 points, 14 rebounds and three steals in a 74-53 loss to Rowan (1/29/11)… had a dozen points and 10 rebounds in a 58-55 loss to Ramapo (2/9/11)… poured in 23 points with seven rebounds in a 57-51 win over New Jersey City (2/2/11)… hit nine of 11 shots from the floor on her way to 19 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists in a 75-68 win over Drew (11/19/10) in the opening round of the UMass Boston Tip-Off Tournament.
JUNIOR (2008-09): Averaged 6.5 points and 3.4 rebounds while starting in five of her 22 appearances at
Bloomfield College… Deacons finished 14-15… notched 12 steals and 14 assists… had 15 points in a 60-52 win over Post (2/5)… had a double-double with a dozen points and 11 rebounds in a 76-57 loss to Dominican (2/10)… had 10 points with six rebounds and two steals in a 62-45 loss to Philadelphia Bible (2/7).
SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Started in five games while seeing action in 26 at
Bloomfield College (15-14)… averaged 5.1 points and 3.0 rebounds while totaling 17 assists and a dozen steals… made 7.27% (24-33) of her free throw chances.
FRESHMAN (2006-07): A top reserve on
California of Pennsylvania’s 21-10 team which reached the PSAC championship game… had four steals in back-to-back games against Salem International (12/5) and Millersville (12/19)… tallied a career-high 19 points, hitting eight of 13 shots from the floor, in the 68-56 win over Salem International (12/5).
HIGH SCHOOL: Team MVP at Pleasantville HS… also earned team’s best offensive, best defensive and rookie of the year awards while playing for the Greyhounds.
PERSONAL: Transferred to R-N in fall of 2009… daughter of Sonja Coleman and Jason Roe… majoring in psychology.
