NOTES: Two-time All-EAST setter who completed his career with 2,948 assists and 104 aces… averaged 10.76 assists, .38 aces, 1.14 digs and .68 blocks during his four seasons in Scarlet & Black… totaled 185 blocks (12 solos, 173 assisted).
SENIOR (2011): First team All-EAST selection after averaging 10.31 assists per set for 17-12 Raiders who reached the EIVA Championship semifinals… named to the EIVA All-Tournament Team… amassed 918 assists while delivering 33 aces to help the Raiders lead NCAA D-I-II in team aces average (1.85)… dumped in 68 kills while hitting a team-high .487 (68-10-119)… got in on 53 blocks (four solos, 49 assisted)… had 18 matches with 30 or more assists and 11 with 40 or more, highlighted by a 58-assist effort in a 3-2 loss to Cardinal Stritch (3/15/11)… roped a career-high and team individual best nine aces while adding 39 assists, seven digs and two assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss at Pepperdine (3/19/11)… hit .833 (5-0-6) with 47 assists, five kills, two aces, two assisted blocks and seven digs in a 3-1 loss at Sacred Heart (4/2/11)… tallied 49 assists with four kills, two aces and three assisted blocks in a 3-1 win over Stevens (1/30/11)… had five kills, 36 assists, four aces, a solo block, four assisted blocks and four digs in a 3-1 loss at Springfield (4/9/11)… engineered a 3-0 win over Saint Francis (4/23/11) in the opening round of the EIVA Championship Tournament by fueling an attack which hit .455 with 41 assists while adding four kills… had 46 assists with three kills, two solo blocks and five assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss at Penn State (2/11/11).

SOPHOMORE (2009): Reserve setter who averaged 6.96 assists per set despite seeing action as a server in eight matches… hit a team-best .577 (17-2-26) while piling up 174 assists and 25 digs in just 25 sets… got in on 14 blocks… registered a career-high 68 assists, hit .750 (6-0-8), got in on six blocks and made six digs in a 3-2 win over Sacred Heart (2/27/09) as team hit a season-high .344 (80-27-154)… notched 42 assists, hit .455 (6-1-11) and posted two assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss to Princeton (2/14/09)… turned in 31 assists, six digs, two assisted blocks and an ace while hitting 1.000 (3-0-3) in a 3-0 loss to Lewis (3/29/09).
FRESHMAN (2008): Ranked third in the EIVA with an 11.97 assist per game average, totaling 946 assists for the season... was the only Scarlet Raider to play in every game... led the team in aces (26) and aces per game (.33)... dropped in 41 kills on his way to 93.5 points... ranked third on the squad with 50 blocks (averaging .63 per game) and 78 digs (averaging .99 per game)... tallied a season-high 67 assists to go along with three aces, six digs and an assisted block in a 3-2 loss to NJIT (1/30/08)... posted 60 assists, six digs, a kills, two solo blocks and an assisted block in a 3-1 win over Sacred Heart (2/5/08)... amassed 55 assists with a career-high six assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss at #6 Ball State (4/4/08)... also piled up 55 assists with two kills, an ace and an assisted block in a 3-0 win over NYU (1/22/08)... in second match against NYU (3/4/08), turned in 51 assists, two kills and two assisted blocks.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped Tesoro HS to a Pacific Coast League championship and into the CIF Southern Section Div. II title match with a 24-3 record as a senior… two-time team MVP who earned three letters while helping Titans to a cumulative record of 59-21 under coaches Ryan Scott and Matt Poston… also helped Titans to an 18-6 record in basketball in his senior season.
CLUB: Played for the Ocean County Riptides in 2004 and 2005.
PERSONAL: Transferred from Irvine Valley College where he did not compete in volleyball during his true freshman year… born in Newport Beach, CA… business management major at Rutgers-Newark… son of Scott and Wendy Zornig… his father participated in swimming, water polo and basketball at Chico State University.
