SENIOR (2012): Posted six saves to tie for the second most in a season by a Raider… appeared in relief in 18 games which ties as the most in an R-N season…finished 14 games to rank fourth in the Raider books… posted an ERA of 3.60 in 20 innings of work while posting an 0-3 record… allowed eight runs on 24 hits and 11 walks while striking out nine… reeled off five straight saves in wins over Occidental (3/11/12), Whittier (3/18/12), Penn State Abington (3/24/12), Baruch (4/27/12) and New Jersey City (4/1/12).

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (April 4, 2012)

JUNIOR (2011):  Posted a 2-0 record with a 3.60 ERA while making a R-N single-season record 21 relief appearances for the 23-19 Scarlet Raiders who shared the ECAC Metro Championship… struck out 15 and walked 17 in 25 innings of work while limiting batters to a .242 average… had seven no-run, no-hit relief appearances while yielding earned runs in just five showings… got the win in a 6-4 decision over Ramapo (4/21/11) by allowing no runs and a single against a strikeout while registering the final two outs of the seventh inning… got the win in a wild 16-13 decision over Baruch (3/29/11), giving up two runs on three hits and three walks in two innings of relief… struck out three against a single and no walks while blanking DeSales (4/20/11) for three innings in a 10-8 Raider win… shut down Rutgers-Camden (4/17/11) for two innings, allowing two singles but no runs, in a 5-2 R-N win… faced the minimum number of batters in two innings of relief in a 4-3 loss to Wesleyan (3/26/11).

SOPHOMORE (2010): Appeared in relief in a dozen games, striking out six against seven walks and 15 hits in 11-1/3 innnings… had no decisions with a 10.32 ERA… had full-inning, no-hit, no-run efforts against Mount St. Mary (3/3), Redlands (3/12), Redlands (3/14) and PSU-Abington (4/27)… Raiders were 7-5 in games in which he appeared.

FRESHMAN (2009): Appeared in four games as a reliever, posting a 5.79 ERA with five strikeouts and three walks in 4-2/3 innings… pitched a no-run, no-hit inning of relief in a 14-5 win over St. Joseph’s LI (4/17)… gave up no runs and no hits in 2/3 of an inning in a 14-6 win over Stevens (3/9).

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport all-star at Pascack Hills HS, earning All-NBIL laurels in both baseball and football while collecting six varsity letters... Second-team All-NBIL utility player as a senior under head coach Mike O’Brien... helped Cowboys to back-to-back North I Group II playoff berths as a junior and senior to cap a outstanding two-sport high school career... in his sophomore season, Pascack Hills went 21-6, taking the Bergen County Tournament and a sectional title, on its way to the New Jersey Group I finals... selected as the BPSL’s Best Linebacker while reaping all-conference first-team honors for the Cowboys as a senior... Second-team All-BPSL free safety as a junior.

PERSONAL: Honor Roll student in high school... son of Kathleen and Michael Evans... has one younger sister, Christina... undecided on major... his cousin, Ben McDonald, played for the Baltimore Orioles (1990-96) and the Milwaukee Brewers (1996-97) after a sterling collegiate career at Louisiana State.
