Rutgers-Newark Athletics

FRESHMAN (2012): Saw action in nine games, earning a pair of starting assignments as the designated player, for the 16-23 Raiders… notched a pinch-hit single in an 11-0 loss to Kean (4/3/12)… dropped down sacrifice bunts in a 7-4 win over Washington College (3/15/12) and 9-1 win over St. Elizabeth (4/12/12).

HIGH SCHOOL:  A 2-sports athlete in softball and track at Westbury HS… earned most improved player and Dragon Award in track  and softball for the Green Dragons… a High Honor Roll student who earned a math achievement award.

PERSONAL:  Plans to major in political science at R-N… daughter of Barbara and Rodrick Evans… has three sisters (Tashari, Tashanna and Tashiarah)… her cousin Sydney Evans played basketball at Fayetteville (NC) State… born in Durham, NC.
