PROFILE OF THE WEEK (Jan. 20, 2010)
JUNIOR (2010-11): Came off the bench in 21 games for the 19-10 Raiders… averaged 2.5 points while totaling 16 assists, eight steals and a blocked shot in 160 minutes… hit 10 3-point jumpers… started season with 13 points and three assists in a 94-34 win over Medgar Evers (11/15/10).
SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Started in 13 games, seeing action in 21 contests, in her first season in Scarlet & Black… averaged 6.9 points and 1.6 rebounds a game while totaling 32 assists and a dozen steals… boosted into a starting role by early-season injuries… made 30 of 45 free throws (66.7%)… scored in all but one game, reaching double figures five times… his 22 3-point jumpers to rank third on the squad… posted a career-high 17 points while adding four rebounds and two steals in a 68-55 loss to Montclair State (12/2)… connected on six of seven shots from the floor, including both of her 3-point attempts, on her way to 16 points in a 65-42 win over Purchase (2/13)… opened the season with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 79-29 win over City Tech (11/15) in the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic, hitting three of six 3-point shot attempts… scored 13 points in 61-58 loss to Catholic (11/22)… made five of six free throws while scoring 13 points and grabbing five rebounds in a 47-45 loss to Richard Stockton (1/30)… dished off a career-high five assists while adding seven points in a 64-61 loss to CCNY (11/24)… knocked down three treys for all of her points in a 58-54 loss to Rowan (1/9).
FRESHMAN (2007-08): Appeared in 23 games, earning two starting assignments, at
Ramapo College… averaged 1.8 points, 0.5 assists and 0.4 rebounds for the Roadrunners who finished 4-21 overall…. did not play during her true sophomore year (2008-09).
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner at Edison HS under coaches Patti Jaworski and Kristen Coyne… received Scholar-Athlete Award following her senior season when she was picked to play in the Greater Middlesex County All-Star Game… also played AAU basketball for the NJ Rising Stars, helping the squad to a 2007 championship in Richmond, Virginia.
PERSONAL: Plans to major in marketing at R-N… daughter of Sandra and Frank Grippo.
