FRESHMAN (2013): Appeared in 13 games with six starting assignments as a second baseman… hit .077 with two hits, an RBI and one run… finished with a .077 slugging percentage… walked twice to post a .143 on-base percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters in baseball at Ridgefield Memorial HS… league champs in 2010 and 2012… state sectional champs in 2012… made it to the playoffs in 2009 and 2011… earned first and second team all-league and third team all-county… also participated in basketball.

PERSONAL: Son of Rosa and Rudy Chavez… has an older brother (Chris)… plans to major in business and marketing.
