Rachel Witt hit .444 with a team-high 12 points, but Rutgers-Camden posted an historic 3-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's volleyball victory. Set scores were 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21 in the one-hour, 35-minute contest.

It was the first win for Rutgers-Camden over Rutgers-Newark in nine tries in the series which dates back to 2001. All matches have been conference contests. The Scarlet Raptors had never taken a set until last season's 3-2 NJAC loss at RiverWind Community Center in Thorofare, NJ. The Rutgers-Camden Recreation and Fitness Center gymnasium was undergoing a $12 million renovation.
Witt had nine kills, making just one error on 18 swings, and added two aces and a solo block to lead Rutgers-Newark. Freshman outside hitter
Brianne Swanda served four aces to go along with four kills and sophomore outside hitter
Toni Moppert collected three aces, four kills and 17 digs.

Val Dauti tied Moppert with 17 digs and Swanda added 16 digs as the Raiders posted a season-high 64 digs.

Stephanie Touzan had six kills, two aces, a solo block and an assisted block in her first match in Scarlet & Black while junior setter
Gabi Mangieri contributed 23 assists and nine digs.
The Raptors had four players with double-digit points paced by freshman middle blocker
Kristin Koloski with a dozen kills and three aces for 15 points. Freshman middle blocker
Rebecca Calabro hammered down a match-high 13 kills and added an ace for 14 points.
Rutgers-Camden senior outside hitter
Heather Pohorely netted a dozen points with 10 kills and two aces while sophomore outside hitter
Katherine Crosby also had 12 points on nine kills and three aces while adding a match-high 23 digs.
Freshman outside hitter
Danielle Sailor delivered six of the Raptors' 17 aces while freshman setter
Stephanie Miller rang up 44 assists and nine digs.
Rutgers-Camden (4-4, NJAC 1-1) is now 3-53 in the NJAC in program history, having posted wins over William Paterson in 2006 and Kean in 2008.
The Scarlet Raiders (0-17, NJAC 0-2) had snapped a season-opening 13-match losing streak with the win over Rutgers-Camden last fall on their way to a 3-28 record.
Oddly enough, the Raptors' win comes in The Golden Dome Rec Gym because the Raiders have been displaced by the installation of a new wooden floor in The Golden Dome Arena.
Rutgers-Newark continues NJAC play on Thursday at Ramapo in a 7 p.m. match in the Bradley Center.
