GLASSBORO, NJ – Rutgers-Newark fell at heavily-favored Rowan University, 8-0, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match.

The Scarlet Raiders (5-8-3, NJAC 2-3-2) slipped to seventh in league standings, but the team stayed alive in the battle for one of six NJAC Championship Tournament berths with two matches remaining.
The Profs (12-1-1, NJAC 6-1-0) stayed in a second-place tie with The College of New Jersey.
Senior midfielder Jess Babice had two goals and two assists to pace the Prof attack which piled up a 26-3 edge in shots and dominated corner kicks, 9-0.

Kat Renteria posted three saves while Rowan's Deana Wood and Jillian Brannan needed just a save apiece to split the shutout victory.
