NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark's frustrating season on the attack continued as Richard Stockton took a 4-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference win on Alumni Field.

Junior midfielder Brian Thomsen and freshman forward Ali Gocmez added second-half tallies for the Ospreys while freshman goalkeeper Tim Brett notched his fourth shutout of the season on eight saves.
Rutgers-Newark managed just four goals in nine NJAC matches despite putting just two fewer shots (61-59) on goal than their opponents.
The Ospreys (14-4-2, NJAC 5-2-2) will play Saturday in the opening round of the NJAC Championship Tournament while the Scarlet Raiders (10-8-1, NJAC 1-7-1) will host Berkeley (NJ) College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and await a probable bid from the ECAC Metro Championship committee on November 8.
