ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY -- Junior outside hitter Toni Moppert had 14 kills and sophomore middle blocker Rachel Witt piled up nine kills, four solo blocks and four blocking assists as Rutgers-Newark swept past Bard College in Stevenson Gym.

The Scarlet Raiders (10-18) reached double digit wins in their final match of the season with game scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-12. It was the most wins for the program since the Raiders finished 23-12 in 2006.

Freshman outside hitter Ula Nieznalska added 10 kills as Rutgers-Newark hit a season-high .323 (43 kills, 12 errors, 96 attacks) for the contest behind the setting of freshman Jen Mendoza. Mendoza had 34 assists which was her best total in a 3-set match and her four highest output of the season.

Nieznalska tallied two aces and a pair of blocking assists while sophomore right side Stephanie Touzan chipped in five kills, two aces, five digs and an assisted block.

Moppert barely missed a double-double by notching a match-high nine digs. She totaled a team-high 17.0 points by adding an ace, a solo block and two blocking assists.

Middle blocker Crystal Navarro had an ace and two blocking assists in her final match in Scarlet & Black. She and libero Rose Anna Beljour, who had six digs in the contest, are the only seniors on head coach Karl France's young roster.
