NEWARK, NJ – Rutgers-Newark's Raymond Postadan and Kevin Santos won their singles matches and teamed for the Scarlet Raiders' only doubles win in a close loss to FDU-Florham, 5-4, on The Golden Dome Courts.

Rutgers-Newark (2-3) split singles matches with the Devils (3-7), but FDU-Florham took two doubles decisions to spell the difference.

Postadan downed AJ Warden, 6-4, 6-3, in the top-flight singles while Santos needed a 7-2 second-set tie-breaker to defeat Ryan Kearns, 6-2, 7-6.

The duo beat Kevin Ly and Kevin Kotsak, 8-4, on the top-flight doubles court.

Sophomore William Cheung provided the other Raider point with a 6-1, 3-6, 10-8 win over Dave Thiagaram on the No. 5 singles court.

Rutgers-Newark travels to Ramapo College on Friday for a 4 p.m. match.
