Kevin Santos ruled the top of the brackets in singles and doubles, but Ramapo College earned a 6-3 win by sweeping the other matches.

The Scarlet Raiders (2-4) were in contention in the top two doubles matches and the top four singles contests, but the Roadrunners (4-1) fended off the upset bid. Four matches were decided by tie-breakers.
Postadan battled to a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 win over Prasanna Fernando on the top-flight singles court while Santos also needed a third-set tie-breaker to down Sam Klein, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 on the No. 2 court.
Postadan and Santos teamed for a tie-breaker, 8-7 win on the No. 1 doubles court over Prasanna and Klein.
Raider sophomore
William Cheung lost a third-set tie-breaker to Matt Giuliari, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6, on the No. 4 singles court while
Rob Ramirez fell, 6-4, 6-4, to Evan Clayton on the third flight.
Giuliari and Clayton edged Ramirez and Cheung, 8-6, on the No. 2 doubles court.
Rutgers-Newark gets a short night's rest before taking on CCNY at 10 a.m. in Crotona Park in the Bronx.
