Kevin Santos continued their solid play at the top of the order, but Rutgers-Newark fell to CCNY, 5-4, in Crotona Park in the Bronx.

Postadan improved to 5-2 on the top-flight singles court with a 6-2, 6-1, win over Itai Achiez while Santos stopped Lear Haninovich, 6-0, 6-1, to boost his No. 2 singles mark to 5-0.
Postadan and Santos toppled Achiez and Haninovich, 8-1, on the top-flight doubles court to run their record to 4-1 as a team.
Sophomore
William Cheung posted the other Rutgers-Newark win on singles court No. 4, outlasting Hoang Nguyen, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
In a tight match, the Raiders lost three three-set singles matches.
Rob Ramirez took a first-set tie-breaker, then lost a second-set tie-breaker before falling 6-4 in the deciding set to Jaber Hogue on the No. 3 singles court. Freshman
Elijah Kim lost to Carlton Ramcharran on the fifth flight, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0.
Nate Kijpatanasilp dropped a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision to Hery Ratsimihah on the No. 6 court.
It was the third one-point decision for the Raiders this season and their second 5-4 loss in the last three matches.
Rutgers-Newark (2-5) visits Bloomfield College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
