Liana Abreu's two goals gave Rutgers-Newark a second-half lead, but St. Joseph's LI scored in the final second to shock the Scarlet Raiders, 3-2, at the Medford Athletic Center.

But the Golden Eagles got a free kick goal from senior midfielder Kaitlin Arthurs to even the score at 2-2 with just 3:10 left. Freshman forward Victoria Hassett fired in the desperation, game-winning goal from 20 yards out on the right side with just one tick remaining.
Abreu, who moved into sole possession of second place in career goals at R-N with 32, fired off nine of the Raiders' 11 shots, putting five on goal. She is now just two goals short of Nnenna Allen's program record of 34 goals.

Danielle Griscom made two saves to get the loss.
Freshman midfielder Sarah Hansen scored the opening goal in the 26th minute.
St. Joseph's out shot Rutgers-Newark, 15-11 while the Raiders held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks in the tight contest.
Rutgers-Newark travels to Raleigh, NC, on Saturday to face Guilford College at 3:15 p.m. in the opening round of the Meredith College Classic. The Raiders take on host Meredith on Sunday at 1 o'clock.
