Gafar Ayinde forced a first-set tie-breaker on the top-flight court, but Rutgers-Camden swept past the Scarlet Raiders, 9-0, on The Golden Dome Courts.

It marked the first meeting between the Scarlet Raptors (4-0), who initiated their men's tennis program in the fall, and the Scarlet Raiders (0-3).
Ayinde battled freshman Tyler Eager to a 6-6 deadlock in the opening set of their match on the No. 1 court before falling 10-8 in the tie-breaker. Eager rolled to a 6-1 win in the second set.
Rutgers-Newark takes on John Jay College at the U.S. Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, on March 31 at 3:30 p.m.
