NEWARK, NJ – Freshman Austin Gilker posted the only Rutgers-Newark win in actual play as short-handed Lehman College took a 6-3 decision on The Golden Dome Courts.

Gilker stopped Lightning freshman Andres Restrepo, 6-1, 6-1 in fourth flight singles, but Lehman sweep the other matches played while giving away one singles and a doubles decision while playing with five players.

Senior Gafar Ayinde battled but fell on Senior Day to sophomore Michael Tal, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Rutgers-Newark (2-11) caps its season on Monday at 4 p.m. at York College.
