Austin Gilker put up the best fights for the Scarlet Raiders against the Bloodhounds (2-3).
Cheung fell to Luis Chirinos, 6-1, 6-4 on the No. 2 singles court.
Tejero suffered a 6-4, 6-1 loss to Andreas Pantaloukas in the third flight singles while Gilker was downed by Stephen Walz, 6-2, 6-2 on the No. 4 court. Tejero and Gilker lost to Pantaloukas and Kelvin Rodriguez in second flight doubles, 8-2.
Rutgers-Newark hosts Ramapo College at 4 p.m. on Friday and CCNY at noon on Saturday on The Golden Dome Courts.
