MAHWAH, NJ – Rutgers-Newark dropped a 9-0 decision at Ramapo College which gave the Roadrunners a berth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament.
The Scarlet Raiders (0-4) and the Roadrunners (5-3) joined the New England confederation this year with the winner of the head-to-head match claiming South Division honors in the eight-team league. Future regular season schedules will include more play among the schools during the regular season.

Raymond Postadan put up the best battle for the Raiders, falling 6-4, 6-0 on the No. 1 singles court to Justin Gerstl. Ramapo eight other games in singles competition after sweeping double play.
Rutgers-Newark takes on CCNY at the U.S. Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
