MAHWAH, NJ – Junior guard
Chris Foreman poured in four of his six 3-point jumpers in the second half as Rutgers-Newark pulled away from Ramapo College for an 88-77 New Jersey Athletic Conference win in the Bradley Center.
Foreman came off the bench to net a game-high 23 points by making six of nine treys and five of six free throws as the Scarlet Raiders (17-6, NJAC 13-3) stayed atop of the NJAC while completing a regular-season series sweep of the Roadrunners (9-14, NJAC 6-10).

John Snow netted 19 points while hauling down a game-high eight rebounds while junior forward
Christian Garcia totaled 14 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard
Doze Ikwuegbu added 11 points and a team-high three assists while sophomore forward
David Azoroh worked inside for nine points and four rebounds.
Sophomore forward Frank Nock paced Ramapo with 22 points and six rebounds while senior guard Terry Hicks tallied 15 points. Senior guard Jermaine Emanuel netted 14 points while freshman guard George Sapp contributed 10 points, a game-high six assists and three steals.
In a game of surges, the Raiders led 30-15 following a 3-point jumper by
Jordan McDaniel with 8:44 left in the first half, but Roadrunners closed out the period with a 7-1 run to make it 36-32 at the break.
The Raiders pulled away in the second half to lead 74-53 on Foreman's final trey with 6:58 left, but Ramapo whittled its deficit to 82-75 on a 3-point jumper by Emanuel with a minute remaining. Foreman, Garcia and Ikwuegbu each stepped to the foul line and made a pair of free throws in the final 45 seconds to hold off the Roadrunners.
The victory kept the Raiders level with Richard Stockton (19-4, NJAC 13-3) in the NJAC standings with just two league games remaining. William Paterson (18-5, NJAC 12-4) lurks in third place as the three teams battle for the two first round byes in the upcoming six-team NJAC Championship Tournament.
