From Head Coach Tom Battaglia:
I don't think I have ever had a smile on my face after a loss like I did today. Our guys played exactly how I wanted in doubles. We were aggressive and we followed up our serves with strong first volleys.
We knew coming into this match that we were playing a team that was vastly improved from last year, and a team that is going to have a strong chance at its conference title. I am proud of our effort today, and it makes us hungry for our match tomorrow morning.
Rutgers-Newark earned its point thanks to reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week
