NEWARK, N.J. (March 6, 2018) - The Rutgers University-Newark men's volleyball matches at Ramapo College Wednesday and versus Carthage College in The Golden Dome Saturday have both been called due to the Nor'easter set to hit New Jersey. 

Both Ramapo and Rutgers-Newark will be closed on Wednesday and the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) match will be rescheduled at a to-be-determined date and time. 

The Carthage match was canceled because the Red Men would have had to travel from Kenosha, Wisconsin in poor conditions with the chance that the matches against Stevens Institute of Technology and Kean University would not be played (two other opponents). In addition, Carthage more-than-likely would have had trouble getting into the greater-New York area in time to play its scheduled matches.

Rutgers-Newark (13-3, 5-2 CVC) will return to action next week with two matches in Cincinnati, Ohio against the College of Mount Saint Joseph and Wittenburg University slated for March 13.
