NEWARK, N.J. (April 9, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Newark men's volleyball team is back in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Tournament after a one year hiatus. The Scarlet Raiders are the second seed from the East Division of the CVC and will square off with the East's third seed Ramapo College Tuesday night in The Golden Dome. Opening serve is slated for 7 p.m.
The Scarlet Raiders locked up a spot in the tournament nearly two weeks ago and boast an 18-8 record heading into the postseason after defeating nationally-ranked New York University on Senior Night. The Scarlet Raiders went 7-6 in league play, and split a pair of matches against the Roadrunners during the regular season.
Coach Trevino's Keys to the Match:
-We need to play within ourselves, be patient and try not to over play because it's the postseason.
-It almost goes without saying, but we really need to capitalize on any mistakes Ramapo makes.
-It will be important for us to make them work for their points. We can't give away scores because that's how runs start.
-We need to execute at a high level in all aspects, and we need to make sure any free balls we get are terminated with a point for us.
