Comfort Akinbo has been named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference first team this morning.
This is Akinbo's first award for women's volleyball. Akinbo paced the squad with 383 kills this season while hitting a team-high .268. Not only did she lead her team in kills, but she also led the NJAC, beating out Carly Waterman of Montclair State by seven kills. Akinbo also finished in the top-10 for hit percentage in the conference.
On the national level, Akinbo was 45th in the nation with her 383 kills. She played in 28 matches this season and started 25 of them while picking up 27 total blocks.Â
