Zaleck & Quay Take Home NJAC Honors

PITMAN, NJ | Rutgers-Newark men's volleyball players, Andrew Zaleck and Daniel Quay, were selected for this week's New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) weekly awards.

Andrew Zaleck guided the Scarlet Raiders to their first CVC title for the first time since 2015 this weekend. Zaleck collected 32 kills through the two matches and hit .233 against Southern Virginia in the championship. Zaleck was named CVC Most Outstanding Player as well as CVC Player of the Year and First Team All-CVC.

Daniel Quay was a brick wall at the net over the weekend, tallying 10 blocks with a match-high six against Marymount. Offensively, Quay tallied 10 kills in the championship match which was the third-highest on the team.

The Scarlet Raiders will return to action this Friday, April 15 when they host the NCAA Tournament First Round and Quarterfinal.
