PITMAN, NJ | The Rutgers University-Newark women's volleyball team was selected 9th in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) 2022 Preseason Coaches Poll.
The women's volleyball team comes into the 2022 season with something to prove after being voted to finished 9th after finishing last season 6-15. Rutgers-Newark will look to improve under new head coach Aidan Albrecht for the new season.
Saniyiah Richardson and Alexa Rivera will look to lead the Scarlet Raiders back to the NJAC Playoffs. Last season Rivera finished with 132 kills on the year while Richardson led the team with 277 digs. Newcomers, Jackie Rosario and Maryann Ijeh will look to make an instant impact for the Scarlet Raiders when they step on the court this season.
