NEWARK, NJ | Tony Godwin tallied a career-high 22 points in the 73-55 loss to Montclair on Monday afternoon at The Golden Dome. Rutgers-Newark dropped to 4-10, 2-5 with the loss while Montclair improved to 12-2, 6-1 with the win.

The Rutgers-Newark men's basketball team faced off against Montclair in a tough matchup on Monday afternoon. The game was evenly matched in the first half, with Rutgers-Newark barely edging out a 1-point lead at the half, 31-30. Tony Godwin led the way for the Scarlet Raiders, finishing with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Shy'Heed Jenkins-Floyd also contributed with 8 points and 5 rebounds.
