Albrecht Earns AVCA 30 Under Thirty Recognition

LEXINGTON, KY – Rutgers-Newark Head Men's Volleyball Coach Aidan Albrecht has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Thirty Under 30.

Coming off a remarkable 2024 campaign, Albrecht and his squad earned the school's third consecutive league title. The Raiders exceptional play garnered them the title of 2024 ECAC D3 Champions. They won five of their first six matches to start the season, including a four-match win streak to finish the season 16-12 overall and 3-5 in CVC play. In just two seasons as head coach, Albrecht has recorded a 31-20 record as he heads into his third year at the helm.

Thirty Under 30 honors up-and-coming coaches at all levels of volleyball—college, high school, and club—and the recipients serve in a range of roles, from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Nominees had to be under 30 as of Dec. 31, 2023, to qualify for the award.

The passion I have for the sport and the purpose it has given my life didn't stop after my playing career. Being able to help people become the best versions of themselves has always inspired me and drew me into a coaching role. I am very fortunate for everything it has provided me, especially the opportunity to coach at the Collegiate Level.
Having been born and raised in New Jersey, I would love to bring home a championship and continue to build the community here. More importantly, I want to challenge myself every day to learn the ins and outs of what it means to be a great leader. At the end of my career, I want to be proud of the relationships I've built with my team and the difference I've made.

Being part of something bigger than myself and the relationships I have formed along the way is incredibly meaningful. Giving back to the sport that has given me so much is truly a blessing.
