GALLOWAY, NJ | The Rutgers-Newark women's outdoor track & field team set themselves up to have a successful day 2 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships.
Carmelle Alexis placed 3rd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.53 while Brya Byrd also qualified with a time of 16.40. Nydia Jackson finished 15th in the 400m dash after crossing the finish line in 1:05.89. Chidimma Igwe gave the Scarlet Raiders a 3rd place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 12.33. Zrreyah Moore topped all the racers in the 200m with a time of 24.99.
Nadya Coleman raced in the 200m dash and placed 17th with a time of 27.26. In the hammer throw, Shanil Auguste took 9th with a distance of 40.65m.
