PITMAN, NJ | For the second time in the track and field season, Zrreyah Moore was given the top award in the Thomas M. Gerrity Most Outstanding Athlete.
Alongside the top accolade, Moore was named First Team All-NJAC in the 100m and 200m dash and Second Team All-NJAC in the 4x400 relay. Moore raced to a first-place finish in the 100m with a time of 11.84, good for a Rutgers-Newark school record as well as a tie for the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) meet record. In the 200m, Moore finished with a time of 24.38. The 4x400 relay team, consisting of Carmelle Alexis, Chidimma Igwe, Nadya Coleman, and Moore finished Second Team All-NJAC with a time of 3:56.89.
Igwe was also named NJAC Honorable Mention in the 200m dash with a time of 25.08. Alexis earned NJAC Honorable Mention in the 100m hurdles after finishing in third with a time of 15.31.
